　　在美国流行乐坛众多的少女偶像派歌星中，Pink无疑是最独树一帜的，不仅因为她的音乐，更重要的是因为她的行为和衣着打扮。有的明星是走清纯路线，比如希拉莉·杜芙(Hilary Duff)，也有走性感路线的，比如布兰妮·斯皮尔斯(Britney Spears)，Pink则一直是坚持朋克(Punk)化的造型。　　Pink原名Alecia Moore，1979年9月8日出生在美国宾夕法尼亚州东部的Doylestown，她出生在一个音乐世家。从Alecia Moore只有13岁的时候开始，她就走上了音乐的道路，最初她只是在费城的一些俱乐部里跳舞和唱歌。第二年，Alecia Moore已经正式开始在当地的俱乐部里担任歌手，并且这时候她已经开始自己独立的创作歌曲，并且在俱乐部演唱她们，并且在演唱时正式使用的艺名Pink，Pink其实只是她小时候所取的一个绰号。在俱乐部工作期间Pink也曾经偶尔为一些当地的小乐队和乐团工作，并且曾经受到了MCA公司的诱惑而前去试音，在通过之后被雇佣并编入了一个名叫Basic Instinct的R&B乐团，但是糟糕的是乐团在她加入之后没两天就解散了。　　然而失业的生活并没有让Pink过太久，她不久之后就加入了LaFace唱片公司，这家唱片公司的两位老板就是L.A. Reid以及大名鼎鼎的歌星Babyface。加入新公司之后，Pink再次被编入了一支三人R&B乐团——Choice，正在乐团准备着手录制单曲的时候，音乐制作人Daryl Simmons请Pink帮助他完成一首没有写完的单曲，Pink非常出色的完成了任务，Pink表现出来的创作才华给这名制作人还有唱片公司的高层人物留下了相当深刻的印象，与此同时，短命的Choice乐团的三名成员由于在音乐观念上的分歧无法弥合，而在不久之后宣布散伙。但是由于此前留下的良好印象，Pink很快就得到了LaFace唱片公司的个人演唱合同。　　2000年4月4日，Pink如同她的名字一样将她的头发染成了粉红色，并且推出了自己的第一张个人专辑《Can't Take Me Home》，不满21岁的Pink的这张专辑是一张纯粹的面对青少年的流行专辑，她的这张专辑相当的受欢迎，长期保持在Billboard 200排行榜较好的位置上，并且销量超过了两百万张，并且在其中诞生了多首排行榜前十名的单曲。不过在经历了夏天和当时人气巨旺的男孩组合*N Sync(超级男孩)一同开展的巡回演唱会之后，Pink发现她并不能和其他偶像明星一样做一名纯粹面对青少年群体的流行歌星，Pink开始朝着自己的道路上发展。　　2001年，Pink为了电影《Moulin Rouge》的原声碟而和另外三名女歌星Christina Aguilera，Lil' Kim和Mya一起翻唱了老牌女歌星Patti LaBelle的《Lady Marmalade》，这首单曲迅速引起了轰动，她席卷了英国和美国的单曲榜，并且在MTV颁奖典礼上收获了最佳年度录影带和最佳电影录影带两项大奖，并且在2002年第44届格莱美颁奖典礼上，获得了最佳流行合唱奖(Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals)。2001年下半年，Pink发行了非常成功的单曲《Get the Party Started》，在这首单曲的出色成绩带动下，Pink的第二张专辑《M!ssundaztood》在2001年的11月20日正式发行之后在商业上大获成功，销量迅速超过了上一张专辑，至今销量已经超过480万张，而更重要的是从这张专辑开始，Pink已经形成了自己的风格和特点，著名的摇滚乐队Aerosmith的主唱Steven Tyler以及Bon Jovi乐队的吉他手Richie Sambora，还有前4 Non Blondes乐队的成员Linda Perry对于Pink风格的变化和成熟，以及这张专辑来说是功不可没的，她的这种变化也被评论界认为是非常成功的，并且获得了很高的评价。
